Suriname (April 9-15 2019)

Suriname

Stuck again behind the KLM flight......
When this happens it takes a long time to get through
immigration.
Bright side.....we have a lot of time to get to know the
people standing next to us in line 😉

We always try to keep a smile Even with challenges.
One thing this mission has taught us is that we can be flexible.

This trio of Sisters is referred to as the "Dream team"
They are accomplishing great things together.
We love to attend Baptisms when we can.
It is just the culmination of a line of miracles in the lives of individuals,
as they experience change and turn their lives over to the Savior and commit to follow Him.
It's amazing to see how the Gospel of Jesus Christ can bring Peace, Joy, and Happiness
to Everyone!!  No matter their circumstances.

Trip to the Interior....

This vine looked like someone had neatly
"pasted" it to this tree.
We saw such beauty on this hike...so hard to
capture with a camera

There were many times during this hike
that Sarafina didn't think she could do it.  I was so
proud of her for accomplishing it.
I'm always telling our missionaries that they
can do "hard things".  Sarafina is preparing for her mission
So this was a great life lesson.  She's going to be
an amazing missionary.  She leaves in July for the
Dominican Republic

After we had a wonderful day hiking to the falls we were on our way down and the larger of the two buses
broke down.  Thankfully the driver was able to fix it and we were able to get down with no
further incidents.

These two have matching pants
There is a tailor here in Suriname
who makes custom pants.  The
missionaries love it because they can
choose their fabric and have them made for
very affordable....they are his best customers
