Trinidad Movie Event (30 OCT 2019)

TRINIDAD

One of the things that Kyle & I have wanted to do while in Trinidad is take a tour of the Caroni Swamp to see the Scarlet Ibis birds come in.  They fly to the same spot every night.  It's pretty incredible.  You watch an island that looks green and it turns almost completely red with the birds.  They estimate 8 - 10 thousand come in on a nightly basis.  This was definitely a highlight of our trip and we highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Trinidad!

My pictures did not do it justice so I pulled a couple off of "Google"....

The young ones are dark in color.

Suriname Movie Event (28 OCT 2019)

SURINAME

Some Sightseeing & the Movie Event

Visit to a Hindu Temple, a Muslim Mosque,   a Jewish Synagogue, a Catholic Church and one of our Buildings (the one downtown).....  Such a diversity of Culture and religions.

This is the only place in the world where there is a Muslim Mosque and a Jewish Synagogue
right next to each other.  They are both very beautiful buildings. While taking a tour of the Mosque we mentioned to the man guiding us how unusual it was to see these two buildings together.  He was the one that told us this is the only place in the world where this is the case.  He said, "We get along just fine, they are our brothers!"  I loved this!  We truly are all brothers and sisters in the family of God.  Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone could understand this and be tolerant of each other and approach everyone with Love and Kindness.  💓
