Guyana (18-24 JUN 2019)

GUYANA

Elder Deppe & President Baird
President Baird thought it would be fun to bring his ball gloves this
time around and play some catch with the Elders.  It was the
highlight of the interviews!  Many had not played catch their
whole missions and really enjoyed it.

Elder Shields & Elder Ward

This young man has been going out a lot with
the missionaries!  He is preparing for a mission.
Nicosie had never played baseball before.
We told him this was not the way to use the glove. ๐Ÿ˜‚

P-Day in Guyana -  Manatees and Playing in the Mud....(it rained like crazy for a while - but the Elders didn't seem to mind)

There is a public park that has a little pond full of Manatees.  They love it if you just pick the grass and feed it to them.  They are huge - some of them look like they were 9 or 10 feet long.  This was a real highlight for me.  I loved just watching them.

After feeding the Manatees the Elders all played some Cricket....Many of the plays were sliding through the mud!!  Some ended up a lot muddier than others but I think everyone got some mud on them...including me.  Of course the mud on me was because the Elders came and hugged me before I left...๐Ÿ˜†in all their muddiness!
