Our Mission Experience: Trinidad (20-24 FEB 2020)

TRINIDAD

We had the privilege of having Elder and Sister Godoy join us in Trinidad for

some Leadership Training and meetings with the members. We had a Caribbean conference

that we were able to join in via technology with Elder & Sister Renlund (joining from Jamaica) and Bishop & Sister Waddell (Joining from Barbados). What an absolutely

wonderful weekend!! We were able to bring in many of the leaders from around the mission

for this conference. We were also blessed to have a mission meeting with Elder Godoy,

we truly learned so much. I think one of the most powerful things I learned was when

Sister Godoy had us to start thinking of the truths, ordinances, blessings and things

we have learned though the restoration of the Gospel while Elder Godoy

started writing them on the board. We filled up an entire white board with things such as

temples, eternal families, priesthood, Book of Mormon, prophets, revelation,

nature of God, atonement, forgiveness, FHE, organization of the church, plan of salvation,

baptism for dead, family history, temple ordinances, baptism by authority, and many more.

Then she asked which one of these things we would erase....as Elder Godoy started

erasing these things, I truly felt a pain within my very soul...I would not want to do

without any of these precious truths. Then when the board was white she said,

some people in the world have boards that are white...they don't have these truths,

we need to help them to find these truths so they can share in the joy that we have.

This is so true, this is why I'm doing what I'm doing! Love this work!!
