MTC

Mission Training Center

We spent 4 wonderful days in the Mission Training Center in Provo, Utah.  We had the opportunity to learn much of both the logistics of running a mission as well as gain some much needed spiritual nourishment.  It was an incredible experience that we can only describe as being close to Celestial.  All of the First Presidency as well as every member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles were there for three days.  We were able to be taught by them, mingle with them and even eat with them.  We felt like we were mentored and taught in a very caring and loving way.  You could feel the urgency that they feel in wanting to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the 4 corners of the earth and help in the Gathering of Israel.  Their love for all of God's children all over the world was evident and expressed so much that we could truly feel it.  The Lord truly is Hastening His Work!  And we are so excited to be a part of it.  There are miracles happening every day and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is changing lives.  It is the Plan of Happiness.

One of the most fun parts of the MTC was meeting the other mission presidents and their wives.  (111 couples going to missions all over the world)  (although I must admit that it was also very intimidating too - there are some amazing people out there!!)  There are a group of us headed to the Caribbean area and we will be able to see each other twice a year at training.  They were a lot of fun and I felt an instant connection with each of them.  Even though there was a language barrier between some of us, we could still all smile in the same language.
