Sarafina (Pre MTC)

Sarafina Sichtman - from Suriname

Sarafina went to the MTC in Provo
She left a week early so she could attend
the temple and do some missionary shopping.
She was able to stay with the Matthews family in our
home ward in Heber.  She got to meet our daughter Katrina!
I'm glad we will still be here when she finishes
her mission!!  She is going to be a wonderful missionary.
She has been called to Chile.

Curacao (26 JUL 2019)

  CURACAO

The mission tour ended in Curacao. We flew in early in the morning from BonAire and had Zone conference that same day.  It was a crazy, busy, week but it was amazing to be with Elder Alonso and

have him meet all of our missionaries.  We feel extremely blessed.  

Elder Lopez found out that Elder Alonso knew his family....

BonAire (25 JUL 2019)

BONAIRE

We flew from Trinidad to Curacao...just a quick stop and then hopped on a small Divi Divi flight to BonAire.   We spent the afternoon with the Sisters serving in BonAire.  It was truly one of the highlights of this tour.  It was such a small group that we were really able to learn in a very

powerful way from Elder Alonso.  One thing that was so apparent to me was that he was truly led by the Spirit while teaching each group of missionaries that we met with.  I guess I felt like he may share the same message with all of our missionaries but that was not the case.  I knew that each message was meant specifically for each group and even more importantly for individuals in those groups.  Another tender Mercy that lets me know, once again, this truly is the Lord's work!!

What a great day!!

Sister Baird, Deb Talukdar, President Baird

Deb has an amazing story, He is from India but was going to medical
school on one of the islands in the Barbados mission.
He met the missionaries and joined the church.  He was a little
nervous to let his parents in India know but when he called to tell them
he found out that they had met the missionaries in India and they
joined the church as well.  Pretty amazing!!
Now he lives in Trinidad
