Transfer Week

We are so excited to welcome 10 new missionaries into our mission. 8 were able to join us in the Mission home for some orientation before heading off to their assignments. Due to visa requirements, our two missionaries from the Philippians had to go directly to their assignments in Guyana. We are anxiously waiting to be able to meet them when we visit there in just a few short days.

Departing Missionaries

We said good-bye to 15 departing missionaries. It was a little bit like ripping part of my heart out. I truly enjoyed spending a little time with them before leaving. President had to interview them all which gave the rest of us some time to visit and play games. I loved hearing the highlights of their missions but it will be strange going back to the countries where they served and not seeing these smiling faces anymore. The only consolation that I take is that they all promise to keep in touch and most that have returned home have. I love to just get little messages from them and hear how their lives are going. It's wonderful to see them go on to do wonderful things.
