My mom was looking for me but didn't look right in front of her...lol Dad had to point me out. |
So good to get hugs and be together after a year!! |
Our morning walk! One thing that I have always loved about my parents it that they hold hands all the time. What a great example of enduring love! |
Mom's knee started giving her some trouble so we took the lower road and Dad and Kyle took the "high" road. |
We played a matching game that had a lot of history of the island of Curacao. It was fun and a learning experience at the same time. |
Some time at the Beach......
Flamingo Lake
This day we had to walk a ways to see the flamingos. Some days the lake is just full of them and some days there are very few. |
More of a silhouette than a picture.... |

The Sea Lion and Dolphin Shows are always fun!! |

Isn't the water gorgeous.... So many beautiful colors of blue. |
Missionaries!!
We had the missionaries over for dinner so my parents could meet all of the ones here in Curacao. I wish we could take them around our whole mission to meet all of our missionaries. We have the best missionaries in the whole world!!!
Sea Turtles....
We just looked from the dock today. Mom and dad didn't want to go snorkeling.....it didn't work so well at the beach. The water was so clear though we could still see them pretty good.We met this guy at the beach He is the one that painted the octopus tree. |
Elder Lopez & Elder McMillian These are our APs |
We had dinner together at Mambo Beach! We wanted to eat right by the ocean and this is really a beautiful spot.
Very interesting bird...looks like he had a mask on. |
A huge beach chair!! |

Mikve Israel-Emanuel Synagogue
The oldest synagogue in continuous use in the Western Hemisphere. A congregation that dates to 1654 and a synagogue that dates to 1732. The interior of the small synagogue is replete with gorgeous mahogany structures, and sand covering the floor. The synagogue is Sephardic, and some of the Sephardic ritual and traditions are retained in the services.
There are coverings provided to cover your head when entering the synagogue. It is respectful to make sure that the men have their head covered while inside. |
There is sand on the floor, symbolizing the 40 years of wandering in the wilderness. |
After Visiting the Synagogue we had a bite of lunch and then saw some additional
sights in downtown Willemstaad.
At the market |
At the airport 4:30 am.....😵 |
