Family Visit & Christmas (18-31 DEC 2019)

FAMILY VISIT

Before we came on our mission we decided that we wanted to bring our whole family out for Christmas.  Kayla left on her mission in 2013 and everyone overlapped for missions after that so we had not been together for a Christmas since 2012.  We were really looking forward to all being together for this wonderful Season and it did not disappoint.  Katrina & Talon came with their family a little earlier than everyone else so we got a little extra time with them.  Everyone else arrived just before Christmas.  We had so much fun being together.  We sure loved being together!!

Sage got here shortly after her birthday....
Her request was a "pink cake with green candles".
She was so excited about it that she talked about
it every time we called her for weeks before they came!

Sister McGuire helped decorate Sage's cake
so Sage wanted her to help blow out the candles!

CHRISTMAS EVE....

Christmas Eve
(At home, every Christmas Eve we tell the story of the Nativity and sing songs to go along with the story.  It is a wonderful tradition that really brings the true Spirit of the Season into our home.  We didn't have all the wonderful costumes that my sister-in-law provides every year but the Spirit was the same.)

Hiking Mount Christoffel....

While everyone went hiking...I got some great grandma snuggles!!
(I happily volunteered to tend kids....Kayla, of course, stayed with me)
