Preparing for Christmas (Curacao 5-7 DEC 2018)

When we arrived at the Airport in Curacao it was decorated beautifully for Christmas!!
(We are getting a little better but we are still not very good at "Selfies"...lol

We arrived back in Curacao on the 5th and had a couple of days to do laundry and find the Christmas boxes that were brought from the old mission home in Trinidad so that we could decorate.  I was so pleased with the beautiful decorations that we had to decorate with.  The Elders in Curacao came over and helped for a little while to help the work go faster (many hands make light work - plus I think they enjoyed the chance to enjoy a little Christmas preparation mixed with service)  By the time we were finished, the home felt like Christmas and we had an enjoyable time listening to music of the season and being together.

Elder McBride got to help a little longer than the rest because right now he is in a trio with the APs and they were meeting with President Baird in his office.  I was really grateful because he helped me put the tree together which took the longest.

Elder McBride did a great job arranging the Nativity.
When I commented on it he said (with a smile) "I looked at the picture on the box" 😉

I think Elder Richards thought this looked like a Crown.....😂

Cookies and Milk after we were finished!!!

Elder McBride was pretty excited about this glass of milk
It was his first "real" glass of milk he has had on his mission.
A lot of the milk throughout our mission (that the missionaries can afford) is milk
in a box on the shelves.

We filled little stockings for all of our missionaries throughout the whole mission.
A toothbrush has been a tradition in our family every year in our Christmas stockings so
we added one for the missionaries.
The rest is just candy (I guess the two go together.....
😄😏)
