New Year's Eve with the Missionaries (31 DEC 2018)

We had All the Missionaries over for Dinner and Games

Brother Skinner, Elder Jones, President Baird

One pen....a pair of dice....first one to write to 100.  You have to roll doubles to get the dice.  It got pretty competitive.  It was really fun to watch them all interact with each other.

Middle Row: Sister Jones, Elder Parr, Elder Durfee, Elder Groenendijk, Elder Richards, Sister Melendez, Sister Anderson

We have never seen fireworks quite like we saw here for New Year's Eve.  It sounded like a war zone.  They started before it even got dark and didn't end until around 4 in the morning.  A constant thundering of fireworks all around us.  We could see in the distance that right in downtown Willemstad it must have been absolutely crazy.  Next year, I would like to get a vantage point where we have a better view of the whole area.  The carport we have is flat...I even think we might be able to see more from up on top of that.  It might be worth it to drive up to the top of a nearby bluff that overlooks the city.  It was even fun to just watch from where we were.  I was really amazed that people would spend that kind of money on "personal" fireworks to keep it going all night long.
