Mission Leadership Training (18-22 NOV 2019)

Mission Leadership Training

Dominican Republic
We stayed at the JW Marriott.  This was the view from our room.

They had a walkout balcony that had a glass floor...
A little crazy to look down and see the street below.
Kyle really didn't like it....
The feet belong to me, Kyle, & Elder Gavarett

We were able to take one afternoon during the training and do a tour of part of the Island.  It was wonderful to see the diversity, culture, architecture and colors around us.  My favorite part was the tour of the KahKow Factory....we got to make our own chocolate bars....delicious!!

Pretty fancy curtains for a tour bus....

We all had to put on hair nets....
of course, for the food handling.

So Stylish....
My kids saw this picture and laughed...
they asked if their dad really "needed"
a hair net....lol😉😂

This was our tour guide.
It was so interesting...we got to see the whole
process from the what the "fruit" looks like
when they harvest it to the processing of the
beans to the final product.

Cocoa butter, cocoa powder, cocoa nibs

Sinks running chocolate!!

Molds for the Chocolate Bars

Kyle hard at work!!

Dark chocolate, almonds and cocoa nibs....amazing!!

I'm so sad this turned out blurry.
I love Sister Gavarett

The place they took us to eat this night was right by the ocean.
We had to have a really long table to fit everyone...

Sister & President Fisher

These guys came from the mission department
to do some training with us on the Pathway program
(I can't remember their names...)
