Anticipating the arrival of our first group of new missionaries this week
(coming from the Dominician Republic)

Group that arrived late that same evening from the Provo MTC
Elder Wardle, Elder Marks, Elder Richards, Elder Frandsen, Elder Holingshead, Sister Baird, President Baird, Elder Somsen, Elder Millard, Elder Brockbank, Elder Seffker, Elder Holthe, Elder Dilworth

This was the first time we were able to host new incoming missionaries in the mission home.  It was so fun having all of them here.  It was especially nice being able to cook for them and filling the home with the sound of happy people (one of my favorite sounds)  I was grateful that they could go rest while President Baird did some interviews on the day of orientation.  Traveling can really wear them out and I think it's important that they enter their first areas rested and ready to go!  It they are overly tired we have found that the "culture shock" hits them harder.

Breakfast.......
Strawberry Waffels!!😋

Orientation......
Everything they need to know before they head off (and probably some they didn't want to know)....lol

Sister Melendez, Sister Garcia, Sister Orchard
These Sisters were at the mission home for a short time during transfers!
  Always fun to have them.
Sister Garcia and Sister Orchard are headed to BonAire
Sister Melendez is staying in Curacao

Morning Walk......

I took all the new missionaries for a walk in the morning.  We have a beautiful golf course behind the mission home where we really enjoy walking in the morning.  (Sister Woolsey on the far right is not a new missionary but she is headed back to Suriname from BonAire.  I'm so glad that these new missionaries will have an experienced missionary to accompany them on their flight and through immigration and customs).

Headed to the Airport!!  Great adventures ahead!

Departing Missionaries

Kyle and I talk all the time about how this really is the Lord's work and how it has to have Heaven's help because what company in their right mind takes their "best" .... the ones they have trained, that have been refined and molded and "fires" them...replacing them with brand new ones, many straight out of high school and yet, the work doesn't suffer, but instead, continues to grow.  Not only bring more people unto Christ but molding and refining more young people into great leaders and better individuals....those the Lord can truly use in building His kingdom.  Pretty amazing and miraculous to witness!! So blessed to be apart of it, but I must say that I get tears in my eyes every time I send these wonderful young people home😢, I feel like I'm losing some of my kids!!
